Nathan Kaminski, Class of 1993 <natekam@gmail.com> Atlanta, GA, USA It is nice to read about you all. I Graduated from College of Charleston with a BA in Biology in '99. I have put that Bio degree to good use by going into technology sales for IBM in 2000. I have been working for IBM ever since. I am currently trying to finish up my MBA. Ryan Senator, Class of 1992, <rdsenator@gmail.com> or <rsenator@mindspring.com> Avondale Estates, GA, USA This note is an attempt to catch up with some of you whom I spent some of the most arduous and rewarding years of my life. Those of you that remember me please feel free to send an email (rdsenator at gmail dot com). Seth Johnson, Class of 1993, <seth.johnson@wesd.org> or <oneinamity@yahoo.com> Carlton, Oregon, USA Never posted before, but curious about other class of 93ers as well as 92ers and 94ers. Gideon M, Patrick C, Stephanie S, Hope H, Jay E and everybody else...get in touch and let's crash the 15 year reunion! Rachel (Pols) Vander Wall, Class of 1995, <vwallfam@yahoo.com> Lowell, Indiana, USA I suppose the fact that I'm approaching 30 (gulp!) has made me a little sentimental/curious about everyone from high school. Just wondering what everyone is doing etc. After graduating I attended USC and Cornerstone University (in Michigan) for about 2 1/2 years. I planned to teach English (inspired by the beloved and sadly missed Mrs Key). I worked a ton and didn't really enjoy the school thing so I decided to give up. Only I don't exactly see it as giving up because I wasn't satisfied. I see it more as giving in. I then did what I had been interested in for a long time, but never encouraged to do by my parents - went to beauty school! About halfway through I discovered that severe eczema would keep me from doing hair for a living. I was determined to finished what I started though. Right after that, in July of 2000 I married my wonderful husband, Pete. Life has been a whirlwind since then - Peter Ryan was born on December 7, 2001. Katherine Alaina was born on June 12, 2003. On August 31, 2005, we welcomed Madeline Olivia into our family. We are expecting number 4 in April 2007. So life is busy and chaotic and loud and messy - but wonderful. I stay home with the kids and Pete works as an accountant. I also work from home as a consultant for Usborne Books (the perfect job for a stay at home mom). We are planning on homeschooling, so I will get to be a teacher after all! I am excited and a little overwhelmed, but Lord willing I will have the patience and wisdom for this to work. I would love to hear from anyone! Especially if you're staying home and/or homeschooling!!!
Rachel Chad Yarber, Class of 1994 Savannah, GA, USA Thanks for keeping this page. Its great to hear from people that Ive lost touch with over the years. Since BL, I graduated from Clemson University in 98 and have been working with the family business for the past five years. Im currently getting my Masters from Georgia Southern and going nuts with studying for the CPA exam. I married a beautiful Connecticut girl in 2001 and we are living happily in Savannah, GA. Im looking forward to our 10 year reunion next year. Hope to see a bunch of lost friends. Drop me a line if youre ever in Savannah. Thanks for doing this!
Chad Yarber Evie McNutt Stark, Class of 1997 <eviestark79@msn.com> or <ems071s@smsu.edu> Tampa, Fl, USA Hello to the class of 1997. I just found out
about this website and am thrilled at the idea of getting in touch with
old classmates! If anyone would like to get in touch with me, please
e-mail me at eviestark79@msn.com. Amy Hunter Marthers, Class of 1993 <amarthers@carterus a.com> Columbia, South Carolina, USA Hello to the class of '93! It was so
neat to scroll down and catch up on so many BL graduates. A quick update:
I graduated from Columbia International University in Psychology. I was
married August 2000 and have the most precious 8 month old son "Hayden
Scott". I am still living and working in Columbia. If many of you
remember my mother Fran Hunter "mamafran" she is doing wonderful, she is
actually keeping my son for me during the days while I work fulltime. I
would love to hear from anyone and catch up since the BL days.
amarthers@carterusa.com Shannon McCall, Class of 1997 <ShandonTurner@msn.com> Columbia,SC, USA Hello! LauraHelen (Eager) Van Winkle, Class of 1994 <eagerlaurahelen@hotmail.com> Atlanta, Georgia, USA Hi everyone. It is so nice to see some posts
from familiar names. I hope that everyone is enjoying life outside BL.
After living overseas for about five years, I am back in the goold ole'
USA. Atlanta to be exact. I am married and we are expecting a son (unless
he's fooling us) in July. I would love to hear from everybody so drop me
a line. Stephanie (Stevens) Crossland, Class of 1993 <ssc08@bryph.dmh.state.sc.us> Blythewood, Sc, USA You know that you are getting old when you can't
remember how long you have been out of high school--and the class of 93
is coming up on the big ten yrs! I am hoping to make that one. Finally
finished up with school--and get this--earned my M.A. in counseling from
CIU! Small world. Married, no kids, good job, family and friends. Has
anybody heard from Yuri W., Seth Johnson, or Ngam? I would love the info.
It really was great to read all the entries. It reminded me of those
sweet BL days! Ben Merritt, Class of 1991 <pg_3@hotmail.com> or <pg_3_28174@yahoo.com> Ft. Mill / South Carolina, USA Well I have been in school for what
seems like forever. I thank God for the opportunity I had 1996-1998
to teach at Ben Lippen and give a bit back to a very special place.
I am now an athletic trainer and teacher (teaching Sports Medicine)
at Ft. Mill High School here in old South Carolina (you knew I could
never leave). Nice to be working at the best public school in the state.
I miss you guys and really hope to see a bunch of you at homecoming. Nathan Lee, Class of 1999 <mrlunt_99@yahoo.com> or <mrlunt_99@hotmail.com> Camden, SC, USA Yeah buddy. I made it through the trials and
tribulations of Ben Lippen, and am in the Marine Corps now, serving
in Okinawa, Japan. I love you guys! Stay close to Christ, no matter
what happens. By the way, boot camp.....piece of cake! "For in all these
things we are more that conquerors through Him (Jesus) who loved us!"
Romans 8:37. Stay cool. Beth Hepner (Gasaway), Class of 1996 <tbhep@msn.com> Columbia, South Carolina, USA So many things have happened
since my days at BL. Spence and I were married in August '98
and we moved around a lot with his jobs until finally settling
right back here in '00. Our little girl, Marleigh Rae, was born
in June of '00 and just had her first birthday last weekend.
I am working at Wachovia Mortgage as a loan processor
and Spence is finishing his degree in Sports Admin. at USC.
Let us know of any reunions or chances of getting together
more than just homecoming. Take care!!
Hey to everyone! Spence and I are so happy to be back in Columbia!
We were married August 1, 1998 and moved around quite a bit in our
first two years. He is enjoying his job here in Columbia
and I am at home with our new arrival, Marleigh Rae Hepner,
just born June 22, 2000! She is so precious and we are so happy
to have her!! We look forward to seeing you all at Homecoming
this fall!
Scott Heaberlin, Class of 1997 <scott@heabdogg.com> or < I-be-heabdogg@heabdogg.com > Greenville, SC, USA I must say, this site has exploded
since I first signed it back in 1997. It is wonderful to read the various alumni stories.
Scott Heaberlin, Class of 1997
I'm glad to be a part of the class of '97, and to be
a part of the long tradition of B.L. alumni. Bob Weeber, a good friend
of mine and former alumni director, has been an inspiration and
blessing to me over the years. I am currently attending Furman University
and am planning on going pre-dental with a Chemistry degree.
Much love to my boyz Ryan Foster, John Weaver, Pat Shine, Tim Hollohan,
etc. Good luck to the future classes of B.L.!!! On the crest of Old Ben Lippen.... Rindie Eagle, Class of 1995 <rindie@eaglez.net> or <rindieeagle@hotmail.com> Norfolk, VA, USA Hey everyone! For the '95 and friends go to ---------- Original Entry ----------
Hi, Alicia Beatty, Class of 1991 <aliciafelicity@yahoo.com> or <alicia__b@hotmail.com> Boca Raton, FL , USA Wow..... I can't believe that I stumbled across
this wonderful website! Janice Li, Class of 1998 <muyangzi@hotmail.com> Chicago IL, USA Hey everyone: Phil Krause, Class of 1990 <pkrause@familylife.com> Little Rock, Arkansas, USA History since BL days: 2 yrs, LeTourneau
University, Longview, TX; 2 yrs, Northwestern College, St. Paul, MN;
graduated with majors in Bible and Communication (Broadcasting
concentration); married Minnesotan Christy Carlson in June of '94; moved
to Little Rock to work for FamilyLife Today. Currently producer of
FamilyLife's weekend program, "FamilyLife This Week." Have two daughters
and a son (Rachel, Rebekah, and soon-to-be-born Kurt) Omar Alvarez, Class of 1990 <alvarez_omar@hotmail.com> or <optiexp@spiderlink.net> Guaynabo, PR, USA Hey everybody: Jonathan Lomas, Class of 1997 <Jonathal@kryotech.com> or <Lomas@engr.sc.edu> Blythewood SC, USA Yes, it is I, Jonathan "Lomas" Lomas, the almost
impeached Vice President of the Class of '97. I am currently really wishing
that I could have made the senior store into more of a full time capitalist
venture so that I could have funneled money into restoring the Scout.
As it stands I am studying mechanical engineering at The University of
South Carolina, and working at KryoTech, a small Columbia based business
that builds the world's fastest PC's. As I am sure most BL grads would say,
It prepared me well for where I am now and I wouldn't trade my time at
BL for anything in the world...except maybe a new Scout...maybe an
orange one...with those big tires...but I digress......Good luck to all,
esp. the big old hairy class of 97!!
Matt Young, Class of 1990 <matthewandcindyyoung@juno.com> Durham, NC, USA It was great to read updates form some of my old
classmates and other BL friends. To briefly update you on my life,
after graduating from BL in 1990 I attended the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with a degree in political science
in 1994. During my time there I was quite involved with InterVarsity
Christian Fellowship and met my wife Cindy. We were married in 1995 and
Cindy completed her masters at CIU in 1996 (teaching English as a second
language). While she worked on her masters I completed the prerequisites
for medical school as well as helping out with the BL soccer team and the
Long Creek Presbyterian youth group. In 1996 I began medical school at
Chapel Hill and graduated this past May. We made the long move from
Chapel Hill to Durham (8 miles) where I am training in urologic surgery
at Duke. Karen (Marshall) Caldwell, Class of 1991 <kapacaldwell@netscape.net> Nixa, MO, USA Hello class of '91 Jonathan Hulecki, Class of 1999 <jah2k@yahoo.com> Columbia,SC, USA I was browsing the internet and came across this
site so I thought that I would submit a little something. Mara Beth Edmunds, Class of 1996 <marab_edmunds@yahoo.com> USA Hey! James Eager, Class of 1992 <jeager@datasys.net> or <jjeager@valdosta.edu> Valdosta, Georgia, USA Hi there, Christy (Layman) and I were married
Aug. 14th of last year. We both live in GA, and are doing well. It's good
to see some folks from our class and those who went to school around the
same time. We keep up with some, but not as many as we should
perhaps...such is life tho... Jeremy Edmunds, Class of 1995 New York, New York, USA Since BL, I graduated from the University of New Hampshire ('99).
I would love to hear what old classmates are up to these
days! April (Knight) Dunn, Class of 1992 <april@jfmcpa.com> or <aprildunn@home.com> Greenville, SC, USA Hey everybody! Does anyone have Mr. (Robert)
Hathaway's new address? If so, please forward it to me. Loren P. Romeus, Class of 1991 (I think) <romeuslp@yahoo.com> or <romeus@ctonline.it> Motta San Anastasia, Sicily Hi folks, ---------- Original Entry ----------
Hey folks, long time no hear from some of you. I am currently an officer and
a helicopter pilot in the US Navy (I fly the MH-53E Sea Dragon) and I should be
heading over to Sicily in July to fly around the Mediterranean
for the next 3 years. Jill (Stuart) Shepherd, Class of 1990 <jill_shepherd@hotmail.com> or <wshepherd@worldnet.att.net> New York, NY, USA Thanks for your quick response. So thrilled to have this opportunity to communicate with... well I guess its just Jolly 'cause she's the only one from our class listed and I haven't been able to shake her off since she first sat next to me on the Mall Bus my first weekend at BL. My life has also crossed those of many of my other class mates. Since I was such a loser and couldn't get into Wheaton, I went to Gordon my first year and transferred to Wheaton the following year. Jolly and I were roommates one year there and then I lived with Youri Kim the next year (graduated 1 yr. early). I then bounded off to New York City to set the corporate world on fire. In New York, Jolly and Gemmie Dayit moved into my studio apartment for 6 months (with my 60 lb. redbone coon hound, Audrey). Gemmie moved out but Jolly hung on 'till I got married last year. During my first month in NYC, I was visited by Noriko Kitago, who (I swear this is true!) ran into Pendo Muganda and Jenny Karumuna while shopping on Fifth Ave. Right there and then, we held our own little reunion. Kyle Fehr lived in NYC for a year too and fed us all well while he was here. Sayako Wada and I are still fast friends, visiting each other from time to time in Japan and NYC. Hoping to attend her wedding in Hawaii this August. Tere (Moore) Tritt and I stood up for each other in our weddings and Michelle (Moser) Gray and I talk regularly. Mega-model Jihae Kim lived with me for about 2 months after she first moved here. Jolly and I also crossed paths with Doug Kittridge, sporting a fabulous blue hairdo in the East Village. My current stats are married (1 year), no kids (nor current plans), working in the technology and design industries in a sales capacity. My husband, Bill, and I were set up by our grandmothers when I was quasi-engaged to a creepy Wheaton guy who my grandmother hated.
I'll spread the joy of the knowledge of this page to all of those named
above in hopes we can all get better in touch. By the way, Becky,
is there any way I could submit some photos of my fellow alumni
and our post-BL adventures?
Erik Iliff, Class of 1998 <wuhai75@hotmail.com> or <Erik.Iliff@furman.edu> Greenville, SC, USA Hi My name is Erik Iliff and I graduated from Ben Lippen in 1998. I can be e-mailed at wuhai75@hotmail.com or Erik.Iliff@furman.edu
I am presently living in Greenville, SC while attending Furman
University. I praise God that I was blessed with the opportunity
to attend a school like Ben Lippen. It did an excellent job of
academically preparing me for college, and an even better job of
preparing me to stand firm in a world that does not embrace
Christianity. Jolly Northrop, Class of 1990 <jollynorthrop@hotmail.com> New York, New York, USA Hello Becky-
Former Falcon- Carlos Hinke, Class of 1991, <chinke@prosx.com> Houston, TX, USA
Becky,
I tried to sign your guestbook today, but I believe the server was
down. Here's some information on me.
Cheers, Njina Maria Lockhart, Class of 1994, <njina@hotmail.com> USA
I've visited BLS 3 times since I graduated. It's changed a lot. And
the last time I was there in May ('98) the only person that I knew was
Matt Suber! It was great to see everyone. I just graduated from
Pensacola Christian College with a Business Management degree, minor in
Spanish. I'll be going to Puerto Rico in a week to work at a home for
troubled teenagers to work on my Spanish for a year. Hopefully, by the
end of the year I'll be fluent in the language. That's my goal. Right
now I'm at home surfing the net. Gideon C. Moore, Class of 1993, <gmoore@email.unc.edu> or <uncgideon@juno.com> Hillsborough, North Carolina, USA Update: I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in May, 1998. I'm spending the summer working at Fabrizio, McLaughlin & Assoc. (a conservative political consulting firm in Alexandria, VA). In the fall, I'll be starting Law School at Duke University.
What's happened to the rest of the class of '93? Ward Thompson, Class of 1999 <wardt@juno.com> Lexington, SC, USA BL Rocks Forever. I Love e-mail and I love stories about BL's history. I think Miss Long is awesome and Mr. White is spiffy too.
Mrs. Hathaway left and the food hasn't been the same since. GO FALCONS Nick Hallman, Class of 1996 <nhallman@comteck.com> or <webmaster@centric-solutions.com> Upland, Indiana, USA I am currently attending Taylor U, majoring in
math education (partially inspired by Mr. White). Ben Lippen was used by
God in my life to bring me to himself and I owe it a debt I could never
repay. Tony Perricelli, Class of 1993 <fourrunner@earthlink.net> Irmo, SC, USA
Hello to the Class of '93 and all Ben Lippen alumni. I graduated from
Winthrop University in 1997 and will finish my Master of Taxation in

Ji-Eon (John) Kim, Class of 1997 <jieon@aol.com> Greenville, SC, USA I'm currently studying at Furman University and
thinking about majoring in Biochemistry (pre-Med). Mark Palmer, Class of 1991 <marque1@spiritone.com> Beaverton, OR, USA Yow! i actually saw a name or two i recognized in

just wondering what ever happened to the people i swore i'd stay in touch
with ... Nate! Jeremy! Moss! Jewels! Becca and Karen, and all the rest!
Where are you? Er ... oh, you can't hear me. Welp, if any of you read
this (or someone can bring it to your attention) drop me a line. it'd be
cool to see how you guys are doing. Dan Scott, Class of 1992 <Cowcult@compuserve.com> or <euelpides@aol.com> Spartanburg, USA Huh. I assume this places me in the rank and file
of all Ben Lippen computer nerds. james harrill, Class of 1995 <evan9936@nova.gmi.edu> or <95543@tayloru.edu> MI or IN, USA Howdy doody Hyun Jun Lee, Class of 1995 <chronic@soback.kornet.nm.kr> Kimhae, South Korea Well.. I am just stopping by.. Matthew Hoskins, Class of 1992 <BrerMatt@ix.netcom.com> Orlando, FL, USA Howdy. Well, I was part of the first class to go
